"RuneScape" says goodbye for Duel Arena and unveils Het's Oasis
Jagex announces that, after 18 years as the most popular PvP arena, Duel Arena will be being removed from RuneScape with a fresh region to be created.
RuneScape will launch Het's Oasis and a brand new scenery, new techniques for gaining skills and two brand mini-quests you can try out.
Today marks the start of the Oasis Restoration the players will be charged to transform the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that devastated the arena. The players will have to cooperate to transform the rubble of this arena into "a blood-soaked pit of fighting, where legends have been a part of one-onone games, into a peaceful paradise",earn OSRS Gold by completing missions.
The participants will help build the area and take on daily tasks that be rewarded depending on their progress. Participants in the event for community members will be awarded exclusive rewards for the event including a brand new crocodile companion, a name, desert-themed clothing,footwear 'Gators and rs 07 gold.
Following the two-week event for the community the newly constructed area will be renamed Het's Oasis. It will be a place of discovery and learning that will include the latest content on skills and techniques to help those who want to improve their Agility, Hunter , and Farming abilities.
"Heroes can also aid in the battle against God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they explore Het's Tomb to find an enthralling object that can help the gods of the younger age in the Elder God Wars saga," the press release reads.
Participants can take off on January 4th to finish the race.
Meanwhile, an Czech developer has developed an Nintendo Switch app called SwitchBuddy which allows users to quickly save and transfer their images. Filip Nemecek created the app for Apple and Android devices after becoming "frustrated by the awkward procedure" that involved in the transfer of pictures from the Nintendo Switch to their phone.
