Madden NFL Fans Petition EA For John Madden Cover On Next Game

Hall of Fame sports broadcaster and coach John Madden suddenly passed on December 28, 2022. in this regard, Mut 22 coins fans have created a petition hoping it can convince EA to pay tribute to the legend of football in the role of Madden NFL 23's cover-star. It was first launched as John Madden Football in 1988 the cult Electronic Arts sports sim took on the Madden NFL name in the late 1990s, following the launch of Madden NFL 1994.


As longtime supporters of the EA Sports franchise might remember, Madden himself appeared on the cover of every issue between 1988 to 1999. In Change.org, Madden NFL fan Nathan Rivers began a petition that calls for Electronic Arts and developer EA Tiburon to include John Madden on the cover of the football simulator's next major update. Rivers and many others believe this honor deserves to be given to Madden, the legendary broadcaster due to his unmatched "contributions to broadcasting, football and millions of gamers on video." If the petition gets more than 200 people, it could be awarded the "recommendations" place in the list. As of the writing time it is closing at 160 signatures.


Since madden coins has yet to be officially announced, EA and Co. have yet to even so much as announce plans for the title's cover design. As with NBA 2K21's Mamba Forever Edition honoring Kobe Bryant We're hope that John Madden receives similar tribute to his own, particularly since the brand's football name is his name.


The publisher usually will announce their annual American football event in the the latter part of spring or in mid-summer, and the time of E3 usually being the moment when fans are first introduced at footage of games. This is a reason to believe that this tradition will be carried on this year, although certain things may change due to the ongoing COVID concerns that have already forced ESA to declare E3 2022 as being a digital only event.
