Madden 20 Ultimate Team adds Andrew Luck M20 Tribute Card
EA bids farewell to Andrew Luck – who retired on Saturday – with a special M20 Tribute card in Madden 20’s Ultimate Team.
By now, you’ve probably heard the news that Andrew Luck has retired from the M20 NFL, effective immediately. Citing injury and constant pain as the primary reason, Luck will be stepping away from the field for good. This, unfortunately, means we’ll never see him take the field again on Sundays. It also means it’s likely the last time we see him featured in a Madden game.
Presumably, Luck’s decision to retire will be reflected in the first roster update for Madden 20. But EA has acted much quicker in Ultimate Team, where players can now find an M20 Tribute card for the former Colts quarterback.
The M20 Tribute for Andrew Luck is available in Ultimate Team for a limited time and odds are you’ll have to spend much Madden 20 coins to find him in a pack. But if he does end up dropping for you, you’ll be rewarded with a top-tier quarterback.
Recognizing his accomplishments on the field, Luck’s M20 Tribute features 88 Throw Power, 94 Short Accuracy, 90 Medium Accuracy, and 90 Deep Accuracy, plus other pretty amazing stats.
Luck ends his career having served seven seasons in the NFL, though he missed the entirety of 2017 recovering from a pretty serious neck injury. He returned in 2018 with a vengeance and won Comeback Player of the Year, throwing for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns. He helped guide the Colts to the playoffs and though they came up short against the Chiefs in the Divisional Round, they were expected to compete for the Super Bowl this season.
Of course, that expectation changes now that Luck is gone. He ends his career with a total of 23,671 passing yards and 171 touchdowns.
It’s doubtful that Luck will be removed from Madden 20 entirely with the roster update. More than likely, he’ll just be placed in free agency, which means you can still sign him and use him in franchise. Either way, Madden 20 is likely the last time Andrew Luck will be featured in the standard game, though it’s possible he’ll return in Ultimate Team as a Legend card.
